“Into the Light”

Culminating his two year residency at the Becket Arts Center, this exhibit highlights the inspiration he found working closely with this community focused institution. Sean McCusker engaged with the community through painting demonstrations and live streams, sharing his creative process with a wider audience; and learning more about himself in the process. His work evolved into light filled scenes of gathering figures. “In the past my work focused almost exclusively on a single figure up against the darkness.” Says Sean McCusker describing the evolution of his work. “Seeing the strength of community at the Becket Arts Center has inspired in my work a brighter world shaped by its inhabitants, still striving for something greater but no longer alone.” - Sean McCusker.
