Bobby Sweet began his performing career in his father’s band at age 7. As a performer and sideman, he has shared the bill with many top country and folk artists, including Vince Gill, Willie Nelson, Asleep at the Wheel, Martin Sexton, Waylon Jennings, Arlo Guthrie & Pete Seeger. In 2011 he was selected as a finalist in the prestigious Kerrville New Folk Songwriting Contest in Kerrville, TX, and has received honorable mentions from The UK Songwriting Contest, The Billboard Songwriting Contest, and the Mountain Stage NewSong Contest. He has also written songs that have aired on many hit television series such as Nashville, Touched by an Angel, Walker Texas Ranger, and CSI. Stylistically, his music resides somewhere between Jackson Browne, John Prine, and a countryfied Bruce Springsteen. An engaging storyteller, he is at home on the stage, whether performing solo, or with his full band.
Join us for a wonderful evening of live music. To make the most of your experience, please keep the following in mind:
*New Location: The performance will be held at the North Becket Park on Maple Street (across from the Becket Washington Elementary School).
*Free & Open to the Public: Everyone is welcome! While the concert is free, donations are greatly appreciated to help support our programming.
*What to Bring: This is an outdoor event, so feel free to bring your own lawn chairs, blankets, picnics, and beverages to enjoy on the grounds.
*Rain or Shine: Don’t let the clouds keep you away! In the event of rain, we will move the performance indoors to ensure the music continues.
