2026 Becket Arts Center Prospectus

The Becket Arts Center is requesting a call for fine art submissions for the 2026 exhibition season. This call is open to all artists who have not shown in the previous two years at the Becket Arts Center, excluding group shows. This is a chance for artists to present a large body of work in a well known and historic gallery space in the Berkshires. One artist will also be selected to represent the Becket Arts Center in the 2026 art poster, including a cash prize and solo exhibition in the Art Lounge Gallery.

Please submit a cohesive body of work to display. Typically we display between 15 and 25 pieces of work per artist. This application allows the jury to see five works that represent what you would show in the larger exhibit space. Accepted applicants will be matched with four artists to display in the Becket Arts Center’s gallery during the 2026 exhibition season.

Application Dates: December 1, 2025-March 1, 2026
Notification by email of acceptance or non-acceptance will be no later than March 31, 2026

Award: One artist will be selected for the season poster, receive $300 cash prize along with a

solo exhibition August 6-30 in the Art Lounge Gallery.

Fees: $25 Application fee ($20 for Becket Arts Center members). Scholarships are available,

Eligibility:

Open to all artists 18 and over. Artists must not have shown more than 5 similar works at the Becket Arts Center in the past two years. Artists are responsible for delivery and return of their work. All work must be original work produced by the artist submitting the application, reproductions are prohibited. Work displays must not have been shown at Becket Arts Center in the past two years (2024 or 2025). All work must be offered for sale unless agreed upon by the Art Curator. Artists will receive 75% commission of the sale price of all artworks and the Becket Arts Center will retain a 25% commission. All work must be ready to be displayed; wired for hanging artwork (no sawtooth hangers). Pedestals are provided for three-dimensional artwork with a maximum footprint of 30” x 16”.
