The Fundamentals of Acting with Ken Cheeseman

  • Becket Arts Center 7 Brooker Hill Road Becket, MA, 01223 United States (map)

This 6-week course will concentrate on the basic elements of the art of acting. It will incorporate breath and body work, improvisational exercises, understanding of narrative structure and moment to moment, beat to beat progression through scene work while discovering playable objectives and actions. In every art it is always a return to the basics. As cellist Pablo Casals responded when asked why every day, even at age 90, he continued to practice the scales he replied, “Because I think I’m making progress.” Whether you’ve never taken an acting class or you just want to practice your scales this class is for you. This is not a drop in class- it requires regular attendance.

Pricing: $299 for all six sessions.

Members pay $150-$299 with tiered pricing. (see more about tiered pricing)
