Work In Progress Wednesdays are scheduled every 3rd Wednesday of the month with alternating themes of Theater, Visual Arts, and Music.

This is a creative space for artists of all kinds to gather with community, share works in progress and the process behind them. If you have work that you are unsure about, want to share what makes your work great, or want to see what other artists are up to, this is the place to be.

WIP Wednesdays June 17th @ 7pm: Visual Arts

Want to share your work in progress at the next WIP Wednesday? Please fill out the form below and bring your work!

This June’s visual arts session will be hosted by acclaimed local artist and curator Sean McCusker. McCusker has been creating surreal landscapes inspired by the rolling hills of the Berkshires for over two decades. His vibrant work, rich with light and color, has been exhibited in prominent galleries and storefronts across Berkshire County, including the Berkshire Museum, the Lichtenstein Center for the Arts, the Lenox Gallery, and Gallery North.

In addition to his studio practice, McCusker brings an immense wealth of arts administration and curatorial experience to the event. For nearly 20 years, he served as the Assistant to the Director at the Frelinghuysen Morris House & Studio in Lenox, MA, focusing on curation, collections management, and conservation. He currently serves as the Exhibitions Curator at the Becket Arts Center and runs an art installation business. Deeply invested in the regional arts scene, McCusker is also the Vice President of Exhibitions for the Berkshire Art Association, and previously served as a curator for the Pittsfield First Fridays Artswalk and Vice Chair of the Artscape Committee.

Whether you are looking to show a piece you are currently stuck on, want to practice talking about your studio process, or simply wish to support and network with fellow Berkshire creators, WIP Wednesdays offers an inclusive, encouraging environment for all.
